About me

I'm a Full-Stack Software Developer (Javascript & Typescript) based in Evans, Georgia (USA).

My tools include (among many others): React.js, React Router, Next.js, Tailwind.css, Node.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL databases.

I love web development and coding in general. Beyond the Javascript/Typescript family I also have various degrees of familiarity with Python, C++, and especially Rust, Golang and Lua, with which I code in my free time.

In my previous life, I was an academic and worked for 10 years as an analytic philosopher. I held reasearch positions at various universities in Mexico (UNAM, Mexico City), Germany (Hamburg), and Spain (Barcelona and Madrid).

    As a Software Engineer at Altair Integrated Services, I designed and implemented RisqAi, a full-stack application written in TypeScript, using React on the frontend and Node, Express and PostgreSQL on the backend. I also oversaw our CI/CD pipeline using Docker, GitHub Actions and Azure services, architected scalable server and database solutions for optimal performance, and adopted AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery cycles and enhance code quality.

    I built a platform for video conferencing and online collaboration. Frontend: React.js. Backend: Node.js, Express.js, and a PostgreSQL database.

    I built an entire compensation service platform (jetjustice.com) assisting air travelers in claiming compensation for flight disruptions. Bubble.io and Javascript.
